Rides the nuclear/uranium "power for AI" thematic — weekly calls on the leaders breaking out, puts on the parabolic exhaustions.
THE STORY IS YEARS LONG. THE TRADE IS THIS WEEK — and the master switch finally moved. I said 34.31 reclaimed and 35.51 (then 10E) over would be the first repair I could actually trade. URA closed 10/26 at 34.36, then 10/27 at 35.86: +4.4%, 1.32x relative volume, 81% of range, above the 10E at 35.58 for the first time since 10/09, and it broke the descending high cap off 10/14's 36.81 (that line projected 35.10 for 10/27; the high was 36.09). Three sessions, three higher lows — 33.36, 33.58, 34.85. Two checklist items, not a turn: 21E is 37.16, 50E 39.87, and URA is still -38% from the May high at 58.26. Read the volume honestly — URA at 1.32x is the ONLY real expansion in this group. CCJ did +4.2% on 0.98x, CEG on 0.73x, VST on 0.52x. This is an ETF-led bounce and the single names have not confirmed it. So: long-only, half size, max two positions, and I size on CLOSES. Never a wick, never an intraday trigger. I bought that lesson on VST at 156.14 and paid 9.8% for it. URA is the position: half-size calls, add to full only on a CLOSE over 36.81. A close back under 34.85 (10/27's low) and I'm out; under 33.36 and nothing on this sheet gets bought, no substitutes. CCJ prints 10/30 and GEV prints 10/28 — I am FLAT into both, and I do not care that GEV just put in +9.8% off the 796.42 low in two sessions on 1.28x. That is exactly the entry I paid up for on VST and it's exactly the trade that gets taken behind the woodshed by a print. Post-print re-engage from the other side, on closes only: GEV reclaimed the June low at 856.01 and closed 895.08 above its 10E — over 919.77 (21E) is half-size calls, over 947.61 (50E) is full, and under 796.42 the equipment leg is dead and GEV is a source of funds. CCJ closed 82.41, over the 10E at 81.53 but well under 84.10 (21E); it undercut the July low at 83.15 and printed 76.92 on 10/23 — post-print, a close over 81.53 is half, over 84.10 is full, and a close under 76.92 puts the fuel leg back off the sheet. Neither gets bought without URA over 36.81 in the same week. CEG is still the only real base on this sheet — monthly lows 240.51 / 228.63 / 260.68 / 247.20 / 247.20 and 247.20 has now held on a closing basis four sessions running — but 10/27 is a warning, not a trigger: it tagged 265.78, cleared the 261.93 I named, and got sold to 258.98, closing in the bottom third of the range back under the 10E at 263.43. Failed breakouts inside a base are how bases get one more shake. Still no buy; quarter-to-half size only on a CLOSE over 261.93, full over 264.42, quit the whole idea on a close under 247.20 because below that it's air to 228.63. I will not short CEG at 247 — shorting a utility at a double bottom is how you donate to the tape. And CEG prints in the first week of November, so this is a pre-print window only; no weekly call carried into it. VST is the hedge, or nothing. My put never fired — it never closed under 136.17, it bottomed at 139.10 intraday on 10/22 and 136.17 on 10/23 on closing bases above that — and now it's grinding back up into the 147.49 / 148.30 / 147.76 cluster on 0.52x volume. A 3.5% bounce on half volume into a declining EMA stack is a dead-cat, but I don't short into strength. Two conditions, both required: rejection at 148.30 on a CLOSING basis, then a close under 143.40 → half-size puts toward the 136.17 / 133.44 shelf. Any close over 148.30 and I stand down completely: no put, no call, no opinion. Flat before the 11/5 close. Off the sheet: NRG (Zacks #5, still needs a close over 100.24 — dead weight), OKLO (-86% from $190, $7.3M of Ark money is a rounding error against that), SMR (below $6 with the only NRC-certified design — the moat isn't the problem, the order book is), LEU (-52% YTD; "pick-and-shovel" articles are what lows look like, not what ends them), NNE. The fundamental case is loud — uranium near $90/pound, spot above $96 clearing 2007 peaks, U.S. power demand +20% by 2030 — and the equities are still down 38-42% from the January peak. That gap does not close on a headline. It closes on closes. If URA closes over 36.81 and CCJ holds over 84.10 post-print in the same week, I'm wrong on the group and I flip size long. The megatrend doesn't need my permission, but it does need a close.
